The weather was such a scorcher, thus the only thing that popped in my head when deciding an outfit was 'shorts'. Whatever top or bag I decided to choose for the outfit, shorts was a definite item.
I kept the outfit simple by pairing the boyfriend shorts with a black chiffon surplice top. The surplice design added an interesting shape and cut to the outfit.
Pairing it with a black tank or tee would have made it too plain and simple. This top made it look as if I put a little bit of an effort in my outfit. While the accessories, i.e. the necklace and bangle, means I gave extra effort in dressing for the day.
