Weekend Wardrobe #28 : Vintage Stylin'

Oh hey! I haven't done a Weekend Wardrobe post in ages. But now that I am back in Newcastle, my Weekend Wardrobe post will be more regular.

It's the last weekend of Syawal but thankfully, we received a couple of invitations for open houses. I did not want to go head to toe traditional but still wanted to infuse traditional elements in my outfit. So I pulled out this vintage kebaya which used to belong to my late great grandmother, Tok Ramlah.

I am such a sucker for kebaya, be it long or short. I love them all! Even more so when it's vintage. I paired it with my high-waist black jeans and kept the accessories gold toned. The addition of the clutch and watch made the look more modern. Had to rock the black boots since the weather was dreary.

I also added a beautiful gold chain that I received from my MIL. If I'm not mistaken, she mentioned that this was one of the piece that she wore when she got married. It's a simple chain that hugs and fits perfectly. It might be simple but it holds its charm in the outfit.
