Mini Beauty Haul

The goal that I had in mind, before heading back to Malaysia/Singapore, was to get my hands on products that aren't easily accessible here in Newcastle. It was the same with my fashion haul as well. If you haven't seen my fashion haul, don't forget to do so here.

It's not a big haul but as I mentioned previously, I'm more of a fashion junkie than a beauty one. However, I do indulge once in awhile. I don't think I'll be doing a review on these items, so I'll just give my initial impression on them instead.

1.Hada Labo AHA + BHA Face Wash
I've heard of this brand years before. There was so much hype over it but, of course, me being me, did not want to to fall for the hype. Now after a few years, I'm finally trying it out. I'm not sure if it is good but I wanted to try it out. Especially since a read an impressive review on it by Fatimah from Fatimahearts. She was the enabler in this purchase.

2.The Face Shop Pore Care Pack Wash Off Mask
I have been faithful to my Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 cleanser/mask. I liked that it was dual purpose. However, I am nearing the end of the product and decided to try out other clay masks. This product uses New Zealand Rotorua Mud.

3.The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil
This product has been on the back of my mind for some time now. Amelia Liana raved about it quite a few times in her videos which made me want to try it. The scent! Ooohhh the scent! I just loved the scent of it. Inhaling the fragrance, while massaging the oil on my face to remove my make-up, is sooooo soothing. Makes removing make-up a fun thing.

4.Lucido-l Hair Wax
This is a repurchase. I featured this item before in an old Colours of The Rainbow tag video. Ever since I finished it, I've been looking for a similar product in Priceline, Chemist Warehouse or any other pharmacy. I tried a few but it just wasn't the same. When I went back, I made sure to get the big tub this time around. There's just something about this product that my hair seems to love. It helps give some definition without weighing my hair down or being greasy.

5.Lucido-l Designing Pump Hair Jelly
Since I loved the wax so much, I though I would give other products in the Lucido-l range a try. This one intrigued me because it said hair jelly. Hah. C'mon, I bet you guys would too. It's definitely not jelly, I totally got sucked into the marketing of it,buy hey, I still liked it. It has less staying power than the wax. Nonetheless, like the wax, it does not weigh my hair down.

6.Topshop Powder Blush in Dream Phone
This was a random purchase. I wasn't really looking to get a new blusher but I liked how the colour was a mauve-y shade of pink. If that is even a valid reason to buy it :p

7.Topshop Sheer Lip in Red Alert
I've been unlucky in the red lips department for some time. Granted, the only ones that I've bought are drugstore, but still I just can't seem to find the perfect shade of red that I want. When I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm liking this so far. It has a balmy texture and yet it is very pigmented. A single swipe would be perfect for everyday wear or I can build it up for a more bold colour. Since it's balmy, it doesn't leave my lips dry.

8.Sephora Collection Long Lasting Kohl Pencil in Deep Brown
I don't do liquid liner. I am more a kohl pencil kinda gal. I wanted to get one in brown because black can look a bit harsh. This Deep Brown colour is perfect to give a soft definition without being too 'rock n roll'.

Well now, that was quite a long post. And on beauty products too! I don't think a beauty post this long would be coming up on this blog anytime soon.
