I was heading out to a birthday party for a friend's son. I wanted to wear something classic, minimal and yet slightly dressier than usual. This outfit was 'spot on'.
It doesn't get any more classic than a white shirt and blue jeans. The difference though is in the slight twist of the details. Instead of a plain white shirt, I went with a spotted print instead. The shirt makes the outfit look dressier than usual. The top handle bag also added to that effect.
However, to bring down the dressiness of the outfit to a more minimal look (it's all about balance), I went for a pair of jeans with rips at the knees. I also slipped on my Birkenstocks for something casual.
