I cannot remember the last time I layered a dress over jeans/pants. It must have been ages ago. I don't know why but somehow when thinking about pairing a dress over jeans, the Trinny and Susannah's show, What Not To Wear comes to mind. And that show was like in the early 2000s. Damn, that was such a long time ago. This outfit though, I feel has a bit of a modern take to it.
The monochromatic look gives the outfit a modern take. Furthermore, I love how this dress is really thin and breezy. It doesn't feel as if I'm adding as much layers to the outfit. I left the buttons on the lower part of the dress undone to give it a bit more movement.
And can we talk about the necklace for a second? I love the layered necklace look. But I am such a noob when comes to it. I know it's only layering necklaces but the ones that I have just don't match well. That's why I love this necklace. 4 necklace in 1. Easy peasy.
