This is only my 2nd time wearing this top. Many times I have chucked it on but I just couldn't go through either because my husband would comment saying it's too flashy or my own self being too self conscious. But I decided, to hell with being self conscious, I am going to wear this top by hook or by crook.
Wearing a sequin number during the day can be tricky. Tricky but not impossible. I believe the key to wearing sequin during the day is by down playing the flashiness. Pair the number with something more casual and nothing comes close to casual than a pair of denim shorts.
This denim short is a perfect pairing to dress the sequin number down with its baggy and loose cut. I would not have paired this sequin top with a tight denim shorts as it would make it look a bit too skanky for my taste. The playful bag also adds a fun factor to the outfit.
