Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Collection

This time would be the best time of the year to try out new beauty products. With brands coming out with gifts sets for Christmas, there would be something new to try out. I don't buy high end beauty products that often. I've only just got a handful but with gift sets coming out, I couldn't resist getting something for myself. Last year I got the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks set (love love love this!) and also the Laura Mercier Palette. You can check out the post here.

This year I thought I would try the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Collection. Some would think that this set isn't worth the money because of the mini deluxe size (1.2g each) but I thought it was a good deal to be able to try out 4 colours.

Out of the 4 colours, I think I would get the most wear out of Intense Nude. This nude has a brown undertone reminiscent of the 90s ala Kylie Jenner which is the trend at the moment. I also love my pinks so the raspberry pink of Tumultuous Pink would be put to use on days when I feel like putting an extra effort. Envious is a red with a slight orange undertone and you know me with red, I still just can't seem to find the right red yet. The last colour is Desirable and this I can't pull off at all. It's a nude light pink and would look gorgeous on fairer skin. But on me it looks ridiculous. However, 3 out of 4 ain't that bad, I say.

The formula of these lipsticks are creamy and the colours are intense. I personally like the travel size. Maybe this time, I'll actually use up a lipstick. $60 for 3 out of 4 colours that I can use, is quite a good deal for me.
