When it comes to maxi dresses you would generally think of it as a spring/summer piece. Dresses with light, flowy fabrics and gorgeous colours. However, since my maxi dress is black and the material is bog standard jersey, it works well even in autumn as a transition piece.
I wanted to wear something easy and this maxi dress was definitely it. It is also a great transition piece because it keeps my leg covered enough if it is a bit chilly and yet if the sun is out, the slits would keep me cool. I thought I was dressing simply when I put this on but when my husband saw me in it, he expressed a lot more liking to it than I expected. Score!
Without the cardigan, the outfit exudes a more Morticia Addam-esque vibe. A bit of goth and grunge, especially since I whipped out a dark lip colour.
